Before delivery, there are a few things that you need to know about in order to enjoy your new hot tub as soon as possible. Keep reading to learn more about your backyard consult, preparing your location, coordinating water and electric service, and last-minute things to ensure your space is ready for your new tub.
Knowing where to place your tub — and that the space can And even if you have the space, it will need to be prepared specifically for your make and model.
This situation is where it’s beneficial to have a backyard consult to assess the space and discuss any additional measures to take.
Our team of backyard experts will schedule a time with you to come and look at your backyard. They will evaluate the location for load-bearing capacity, electric needs, and proximity to water. All of these factors become especially important when planning to enjoy your hot tub on a deck or other lifted space.
We want to make sure that your hot tub is accessible and useable. Our experts will help make any changes needed to ensure your hot tub works in the space best for you.
VIRTUAL VIEW™ AR
This free app puts the power of augmented reality at your fingertips. Shop and compare models virtually, in any color combination, and see how they look in your space. Virtual View AR takes the guesswork out of choosing your perfect spa.
Once your backyard consult is completed, you’ll need to finalize and prep your location. If you had one place in your mind and our experts have given you the green light, great! If not, our team will provide you with some ideas to think about and pick from.
Remember that you can always add on a deck or assess the deck you currently have to make sure it is in good shape. Our hot tubs are built to last and withstand the arctic weather, so ensuring your deck is also built to last is essential.
You also could consider pouring a concrete pad or preparing pavers. Whatever your idea, we will ensure it will work with your model.
With a space prepared, it’s time to coordinate your water and electricity.
Not all water in Alaska is created equal. Even if you live in the municipality of Anchorage, you may not have the same water as the people that live across from you. If you live in Bayshore, your water is most likely not the same as the people who live on the hillside.
Differences in water are due to the different water wells and aquifers we use in Anchorage. With this in mind, you’ll have to determine your filling capacity.
No matter where you live if you are going to overtax your well, you should consider getting water delivered. And yes, we can help coordinate this for you.
Contact us to schedule your ownership class.
Remember to pay your final balance before the day of delivery. We will discuss the specifics with each client but know that we cannot deliver your hot tub if we don’t get paid.
The last step to take before the big day is ensuring our team has clear access to your hot tub’s final destination.
We’ll need to make sure we have access to your backyard, for starters. Deliveries can happen both when you are home and when you are not. Either way, ensuring clear access means having the gate open (or sharing a code) and guaranteeing no snow blocking the path to the delivery spot. This becomes especially important in the winter months, and a little bit (or a lot) may be in your future.
The big day is finally here! Before we can settle in your new tub, we’ll need to solidify a couple of details.
Insert short summary of all three steps.
You’ll need to confirm the delivery location access with our team. This includes verifying any access codes, use of any rental equipment (cranes, forklifts, etc.), and a clear and clean path (especially for winter deliveries).
Whether you’ll be home for the delivery or somewhere, we’ll make sure the delivery goes right the first time.
You’ll also want to confirm your electricity and water. Did you get any additional sub panels or electrical equipment needed? Is your well prepared, or is your water delivery set up and scheduled?
If either answer to these questions is “no,” then we’ll discuss rescheduling delivery for a later date.
Make sure you have your owner’s manual handy. Once your hot tub is delivered, we want you to be able to enjoy it. We will always answer any last-minute questions you have but want to leave knowing you understand how your hot tub operates.
Water care products are essential to have on Day 1. Each hot tub model has specific water care needs and deepening on how you get your water. You may need some additional products. If you have any questions, we are here to help.
Last but not least, make sure you have your camera ready! Delivering a hot tub is no easy feat, and this is the perfect opportunity to humblebrag about the crane in your backyard delivering your tub. Plus, we love to share customer pictures on our website and social media!
